AC Milan snub Muntari for number 11 jersey

Sulley Muntari is his favourite number 11 jersey playing for Ghana

Injured Sulley Muntari missed out on his favourite number 11 jersey at AC Milan for the upcoming campaign although it remains unassigned.

A serious knee injury which will sideline the Ghana star for close to six months could be a factor why he was overlooked by Milan officials.

Muntari has been handed the number 4 jersey which is a ‘strange’ number for the offensive midfielder.

He wore the number 14 shirt during his half season loan spell after moving from city-rivals Inter Milan.

Sierra Leone international Rodney Strasser will wear the number 14 jersey (also used by Milan and African legend George Weah.
