AC Milan midfielder Muntari claims Ajax are running scared ahead of Wednesday's Champions League clash

AC Milan star Sulley Muntari has ramped up the fear factor for Ajax when they visit the San Siro for Wednesday's must-win clash.

The Rossoneri need just a draw on home soil to make sure they progress into the knockout stages of the Champions League from Group H after seeing off Celtic's challenge.

Ajax, in contrast, need to come away with a win to leapfrog the hosts to second.

Muntari, who is expected to make his return from injury ahead of the crucial match, stoked up the bitter rivalry between the two teams ahead of kick-off.

The midfield ace said: "The Milan fans shouldn't worry, it's Ajax who should be worried as we want to get through to the next round in front of our own fans.

"We're in the right place to make them suffer the agony of losing. It's an important match and we'll do everything to get through to the next round.

"I feel good and I'm ready for Ajax," Muntari said after watching the 2-2 draw to Livorno.

"We want to win every game we play and it didn't happen on Sunday.

"We only got a point but we're on the right road and we have to stick with what we're doing.

"We're doing well in Europe and not so well in the league, but we shouldn't focus on the negatives and just continue with the work we're doing."

Ajax striker Kolbeinn Sigthorsson has recovered from an ankle injury and is available.
