AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri has paid a glowing tribute to Ghanaian midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng who left the Italian club on Friday to join German side Schalke.
Boateng sealed a shock return to the Bundesliga on Friday by signing for Schalke despite reported interest from rival German side Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund.
The Ghanaian scored two goals on Wednesday for AC Milan in the Champions League in their match against PSV before completing his move to Schalke 48 hours later.
“I’d also like to wish Boateng all the best,” Allegri said in his press conference for AC Milan ahead of the weekend’s matches.
“He bowed out well with two important goals for our Champions League qualification.”
Boateng has already started training with Schalke.
