Abedi Ayew Pele is not keen on taking to full-time coaching after picking up a CAF License ‘A’ badge.

The three-time African Footballer of the Year was among other ex-internationals who part-took in the course at the Ghanaman School of Excellence in Prampram last week.

Ayew has been coaching his second-tier side Nania FC and made history when he guided them to win the MTN Ghana FA Cup in 2011.

But the ex-Ghana captain is not ready to begin a career on the touchlines.

‘‘For now I have never thought of it, I am working and planning towards the future,’’ the Marseille legend said.

The course supervised by the Ghana Football Association is a FIFA programme to give ex-internationals the opportunity to coach.

“FIFA has taken a decision and given all ex-footballers an opportunity like this and I think it is great. Having somebody like Ben Koufie also makes it unique,” he added.

‘‘For us locally and having all the former local players here, I think it is really great and you see the interest that the opportunity has been given to ex-footballers to really show what they can do and we just hope that when they have showed what they can do, the opportunity can be given to them to also put it into action.''
