Ghana legend Abedi Pele expects Barcelona to emerge victorious again in this year’s UEFA Champions League.

The Spanish giants produced an excellent display to beat AC Milan 4-0 on Tuesday to progress in the competition.

The Catalan giants were trailing two nil from the first leg but a brace by Lionel Messi and one each from David Villa and Jordi Alba reminded the doubters of their evergreen prowess.

And Pele who won the prestigious tournament with Olympique Marseille in 1993 beliefs Barcelona can once again reign supreme.

“I wasn’t surprised at all (about the impressive win over Milan). A team that always wins trophies will continue to win trophies,” he said.

“But sometimes as players you lack the desire to win after winning everything and you could see they lost some games in some weeks.

“And people started talking but the team has been at the top for the past five six years.

“It is the same generation from the Ronaldhino time and they’ll remain a threat in the competition.”

I love that statement of assassment,”it is the same generation from Ronaldinho time” not the same Ronaldinho from generations.
I wish somebody makes a sense out of this in regards to the problems we have with the BS.

Bacelona is all washed up. Abedi Pele does not know what he is taliking about. Playing soccer is not the same as forecasting. Bacelona cannot win this year’s championship. It’s JUVENTUS, the Old Lady’s time.

Askantwi or whatever you call yourself. It seems you know football than Abedi. Hahhaahah aha. Funny indeed. An untrained coach who was able to win the FA CUP with a lower div team. You think you know more than him. If you know football you can see that barca can beat any team due to their individual player brilliance.

        • kwame-blz says:

untrained coach indeed. How long ago did they win the FA cup, were they able to go to Africa?? no no becuz the untrained coach was afraid tactics will beat him so they blame it on money. But the untrained coach cannot push his team to the premier lge, why not achieve that yet after proving he got it all to win the FA Cup??

A wise man knows when to turn down a prestigious challenge. You just don’t accept challenges when your estimates tell you that you don’t have the logistic support necessary to be successful. @ KwameThat means he knows what he is about. I think your submission has gone against you. It shows how illogical you are.

  3. People i think his desire to wish any team winning the champion league has got nothing to do with the relationship b/n him and Akwesi. If we should channel ant issues regarding or concern Abedi it should be the issues with regarging to BS & Ayew family…let us him express his views and expectations, but he should try and realise a bad priest who wishes collaps & unforseen incidence befall on his village he still lives in it among suffering people…instead of wishing Barcelona good fortunes why not your own country by siting your children down and talk to them, rather than blaming Akwesi falsely saying “am dissapointed in him” Abedi i love you and your family but this time am reverting..
