Ghanaian Abdul Aziz Tetteh’s solitary strike ensured his Greek top-flight side Platanias finished the first half of the season away from the drop with a 1-0 win over Panionios.
The midfielder connected home from inside the box on 65 minutes after directing in cross from the right from Nikola Beljic.
His celebration earned him a booking a minute later.
Tetteh made 15 appearances for the Perivolia-based team before the winter break.
Platanias are now 14th on the league table with 18 points; four above the relegation point.
