GHANASoccernet.com can confirm that over 4,000 fans in Ghana have successfully applied for match tickets for the Black Stars matches at the 2014 World Cup finals.

With 86 days to the start of the competition, the Ghana Football Association has confirmed the numbers who want to go to Brazil are encouraging.

But the travelling of these fans is in doubt after government announced they would not sponsor supporters to the tournament.

"I can tell you that over 4,000 Ghanaians have successfully applied for their tickets to see the games in Brazil,” Ghana FA Vice President Fred Crentsil told GHANASoccernet.com.

"I want to have the actual number but they are over 4,000 which should tell you that people want to see the World Cup.

"Nobody wants to be left out and hopefully we all will have a World Cup to remember.”

Ghana are appearing in her third successive World Cup after being present at the last two editions held in Germany and South Africa.
