New Edubiase winger Bernard Dong Bortey has promised to punish Hearts when they two teams clash in the season’s league opener next month.

Edubiase will open their Ghana Premier League campaign against the Accra-based side on September 6 at Bekwai hoping to begin on a blistering note.

Bortey, who has recently joined the Bekwai-based side from Aduana Stars, plan to inflict wounds on his former club when the two teams clash.

"I will teach Hearts a bitter lesson. I am a professional and so will not allow my past relationship with Hearts to affect me at all,” Bortey said

"They should be ready because we’re going to beat them. I am going to give my all and I believe my colleagues are battle ready.

"I am the bona fide property of New Edubiase at the moment and will do my utmost best to ensure the success of the team.

"Unfortunately, Hearts will be the first team to taste defeat at Bekwai. I want to punish them and  I will do whatever is necessary on the pitch to help my team win.”
