Ex-Senegal goalkeeper Tony Sylva is ralling support for under-fire gloveman Bouna Coundoul ahead of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Ethnikos Achna shot-stopper came under heavy criticism during the qualifiers but Sylva, who played at four nations cup finals wants fans support for the 32-year-old.

"This is our goaltender and on the eve of a competition such as the Africa Cup of nations, he rather needs the support of everyone,” he told APS

"He will still make other errors like everyone else but the main thing is that he must be assisted by his teammates, the coaching staff and supporters.”

Senegal will play against Ghana in their opening game before playing South Africa and Algeria in group C.
