Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has urged the USA to go all out and beat the Black Stars to stand a chance of progressing from Group G.

The Yanks are bent on laying Ghana’s bogey to rest in Natal after defeats in the last two World Cup finals.

Head coach Jurgen Klinsmann has spoken of his side’s renewed determination to beat the Black Stars for the first time.

But Mourinho has told the Americans they will require more effort to edge the 2010 World Cup quarter-finalists.

“The Black Stars are beatable but the U.S must work extra hard. They are a strong African team with a good record in the world cup but I think if the U.S will have a chance they must beat them,” Mourinho, who is an analyst for Yahoo, said.

“If they are able to take three against Ghana then they will have less pressure taking on Portugal.

“So the dynamics are simple they have to beat Ghana.”
