Stromsgodset coach Ronny Deila acknowledged the influence of his captain Adam Larsen Kwarasey in their 4-2 win over IK Start in their Norwegian league title defence.

The Ghana international pulled of an instinctive save halfway through the second half of the game to ensure the game remained 2-2.

He helped bailed his team on several occasions during the ill-tempered game.

After the match, Deila could not help but pay glowing tribute to his goalkeeper.

“Adam is an unbelievable goalkeeper and will be incredibly key to our season,” he said in a post-match interview.

“A good goalkeeper can save you six to eight games and that is as important as scoring goals for your club.”

Kwarasey is in strong contention to regain the number spot for Ghana after some nervy outings saw him lose it to South Africa-based Fatau Dauda.

The only reason why Dauda was made no1 was paying bribes. There is too much favouritism going on ,all because of some selfish people wants to fill their belly.Adam Kwarasey by any means is way ahead of Dauda.Braimah is way ahead of Dauda. They both play week in week out.
Now if stomgodset coach is playing Kwarasey week in week out, when as a matter of fact Both AA and that stupid goalkeeper coach will not be considerd for any coaching role any where outside Ghana ,what the hell is that constant tag of Kwarasey lacking confidence. That is the only excuse.Braimah made one mistake playing Korea and AA freezes him out meanwhile the defenders playing in front of him were crap. This guy is playing week in week out.Kwarasey plays week in week out.Dauda is bench warming expert not in a major league but a mediocre one,yet AA because of prejudice plays Dauda ahead of Kwarasey and Braimah. What is the logical explanation of this.If AA makes the mistake of playing Dauda we will be in serious trouble.

Keeping him as number 2 for ghana in the past may be a blessing in disguise. Knowing how Ghanaians cannot tolerate a mistake, they would have killed his chances if he made any mistake playing in Ghana, which clearly he is not very used to. On the world stage, this guy will just shine

  3. benito says:

Dauda is still the best,I the coaches know better so no amount of hype for kwarasey will get him the number 1 spot and I don’t like kwarasey either,we are all entitled to our opinions.

    • j. white says:

Keep deceiving yourself with your ignorance! No serious coach will take a goalkeeper like Dauda, who is warming the bench at a mediocre South African club, to any world cup.

    • spellBOUND says:

The first article written on mr larsen in we don’t know how long, and ur calling it hype???? wooow, ur definitely in dada’s pocket; just like that he-goat yakubu. there is an article EVERYDAY on dauda, why do u not call that hype?? u r indeed entitled to your own opinion no matter how STUPID it may be..

who do the coaches know better than??? coaches appointed prematurely by an FA that lacks vision and an uneasy relationship with former players??? as a proud african, it pains me to say that african leaders are some of the most stupidest people u will ever meet. in civilized parts of the world, people in high positions are there due to their hard work. the same thing cannot be said of our beloved land. bribes, corruption, fear, deception, murder; these are what make leaders in africa… nkwasiasem

      • Ghanaba says:

You just displayed your colours by your insults. If African leaders are “some of the most stupidest people u will ever meet” per your wording, what does that make you? A crusader doing his part to salvage the situation or a coward hiding the comfort of a keyboard to spew out… .Granted that some of our leaders are wayward, we still have those we can be proud off.

      • Ghanaba says:

IF “African leaders are some of the most stupidest people u will ever meet” by your words what does that make you? Are you a crusader who is doing his part to salvage the situation or a coward hiding behind the comfort of a keyboard to spew out…? Granted that SOME African leaders are wayward we still have some great leaders we can be proud off. Long live Africa, long live our mother land.

        • spellBOUND says:

i stated that SOME, not all. there are present and past african leaders that i admire and respect. african leaders being stupid has nothing to do with me. the only thing i share with them is color; which i’m very proud of. but thats where the comparison ends. this situation will NOT be salvaged in my lifetime so i will not waste my time and whatever little time i have on this earth on a pointless crusade. only fools chase dreams they can’t possibly attain. how else do u want me to express my opinion? lol do u want to meet face to face???? u may have to buy a plane ticket for that…

          • Ghanaba says:

I’m cool with your explanation clarifying your real intent. No need for plane tickets cos my next ticket should be to get out of this ‘ freezer’ to contribute my cotta home. Shout out to you man. Peace.

        • Papa USA says:

you are clearly a fool. What spellBOUND said is the truth and I in particular if given the platform anywhere, I will say it as it is. Ghanaian leaders and African leaders are the most corrupted leaders in the world. I will also add, they are stupid and jokers. Yes Africa and your mother land will forever remain but you the people will perish. You might corrupt yourself.

      • Black Mamba says:

Spellbound and Selfmade really embarass Ghanaians and indeed Africans on this forum. This same “useless” FA is organized enough to help qualify Ghana to a third straight world cup and come this summer ur dumbass will be proudly cheering.

  4. ripamonti says:

Kwarasey is the best goalkeepeer around and there is no doubt about it.i hope he keeps the post for Ghana at the world cup.

  5. kuukuphilly says:

@benito’ get the fuck out of here.ur so called dauda is sluggish as he can be so just tell truth and nominate kwarasey’or maybe he was not born in ghana thats why they’re not treating him fairly…nonsense GFA…

  6. risky says:

if our leaders are all up to standard, how come we still sleeping in darkness after 57 yrs of independence???… most of our leaders are useless

  7. risky says:

if our leaders are all up to standard, how come we still sleeping in darkness after 57 yrs of independence???… most of our leaders are useless and very greedy.

  8. wee ba says:

  9. UnitedStatesofAfrica says:
