Midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng has denied insulting head coach Kwesi Appiah but says he accepts his expulsion from Ghanaââ¬â¢s World Cup camp.
The Schalke 04 man claims the trainer misunderstood him after laughing with Sulley Muntari, who has also been sacked for violent behavior.
ââ¬ÅI accept the absolutely - only that no one should believe that I had insulted the coach or something let me come to debt,â⬠Boateng told Sport Bild.
ââ¬ÅI am leaving camp and I wish my colleagues all the best for the World Cup and the match against Portugal. "
A statement on the Ghana FA website read: ââ¬ÅThe Ghana Football Association (GFA) has approved coach Kwesi Appiahââ¬â¢s decision to suspend Kevin-Prince Boateng indefinitely from the Black Stars.
ââ¬ÅThe decision takes immediate effect.
ââ¬ÅThe decision was taken following Boatengââ¬â¢s vulgar verbal insults targeted at coach Kwesi Appiah during the teamââ¬â¢s training session in Maceio this week.
ââ¬ÅBoateng has since showed no remorse for his actions which has resulted in the decision.
ââ¬ÅBoatengââ¬â¢s accreditation for the 2014 World Cup has been withdrawn with immediate effect.ââ¬
