Black Stars midfielder Rahim Ayew believes Parma youngster Afriyie Acquah deserves a call-up to play at the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
The Asante Kotoko player argues that Acquah has been impressive in the Serie A where he is enjoying regular playing time.
Acquah has made 23 league appearances and scored one goal this season since joining on-loan from German side TSG Hoffenheim.
ââ¬ÅFor me, I think playing regularly in a strong league like the Italian league is enough prove that one is ripe for the World Cup,â⬠Rahim, son of Ghana legend Abedi Pele, told GHANASoccernet.com
ââ¬ÅAcquah has played well this season and I know coach (Kwesi Appiah) is monitoring him and to be fair to ourselves he is a candidate to go to Brazil.ââ¬
Rahim was an unused substitute at the 2010 World Cup finals in South Africa.
