Parma coach Roberto Donadoni believes midfielder Afriyie Acquah fits the bill to play for Ghana at the 2014 World Cup.
The 22-year-old is on loan from German side TSG Hoffenheim has emerged as a key player at the Stadio Tardini after a slow start.
Acquah has made 19 Serie A appearances and been very assertive in the midfield.
Last week, he was named man-of-the-match in Parmaââ¬â¢s 1-1 home draw with Genoa.
Donadoni, a former Italy national team coach, says Acquah deserves to play at the Juneââ¬â¢s tournament in Brazil.
"We are sure that someone like Acquah can play at the World Cup with Ghana,â⬠Donadoni is quoted by Tuttomercato.
"Essien and Muntari have certainly lived a memorable year. Now it's up to him to confirm his growth in the team.ââ¬
