Newly-appointed Manchester United manager Luis van Gaal will further assess the qualities of Ghana winger Andre Ayew in Saturday's international friendly between Ghana and the Netherlands as he prepares to bid for the Marseille forward.

The Dutch gaffer is reportedly interested in bring the 24-year-old game-changer to the Old Trafford and is reportedly preparing a bid to sign him from French side Olympique Marseille.

Though van Gaal is keen on the Ghana ace, he is expected to use Saturday's FIFA international friendly match between the Netherlands and Ghana to further assess his qualities.

Ideally, the former Bayern Munich boss would have loved to see the player play for Ghana in Brazil but his involvement in the tournament will not permit him to keep an eye on the Napoli target. But, he will ask scouts to monitor the Ghanaian.

Andre's departure from the Stade Velodrome is almost becoming certain as he parted ways with his agent earlier this week.

The winger is tipped as one of Ghana's brightest talents at the upcoming FIFA World Cup and will particularly go into Saturday's game at the Amsterdam Arena to give Kwesi Appiah a prove of his own worth.
