Ghana Football Association spokesperson Ibrahim Sannie-Daara has emphasized that Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah is abreast with the modern trends of his profession.

He believes the ex-Ghana captain has silenced all doubters with his performance so far.

Sannie-Daara claims Appiah and his assistant use scientific coaching methods and that is the reason why they are on top.

"They (Kwesi Appiah and Maxwell Konadu) adopted modern methods of doing things," Daara told Ghana TV.

"The normal Ghanaian coach I have seen in the past was that, (they) just gathered the boys - share and play - that is it.

“These young lads (Kwesi and Maxwell) have done really well for bringing on board technology and all the modern methods we can think about."

He added that: "They monitor like all the European coaches monitor, using the system called scouting.

“They monitor, they do video analysis and other proper planning which results in success.

"So it was good that as Ghanaians, we have giving the opportunity to them and they are proving us right that when a Ghanaian is giving an opportunity, he can also deliver.”

Ghana squad is in Holland preparing for the 2014 World Cup and will play Holland on 31 May in a friendly.
