The Ghanaian trainer is in the country after ending two weeks  in Europe monitoring some of his key players.

The former Asante Kotoko great is in the process of firming up his squad for the global piece which could see some new faces in the provisional list.

He will use the friendly against Honduras in the United States and the Netherlands to decide on his final 23-men for the global showpiece.

“I am still in the process of naming my squad. The provisional list should be out by May 13,” he said

“We have to support whoever gets the chance to represent the country at the World Cup.

“Don’t forget at the end of the day only 23 players will go to Brazil. It doesn’t mean those who do not make it are bad players.”

Akwesi Appiah and GFA, why do you want to play friendly match in your enemies territory? Why not in Honduras? If Black Stars set their foot on U.S soil before the world cup, We should consider ourselves out in the first round, and it can cause Akwesi Appiahs job because of stupid mistake. There is no way we can win U.S, if we play Honduras in U.S. Asamoah Gyan, the rest of the team and Ghanaians say something before is too late, and dont say i did not warn you. GFA use your common sense.

Brothers I wonder why sports journalist are not discussing this loophole. It’s a sign of complacency and may cost us dearly.

It’s the 21st century, so all teams have access to game tapes from friendlies, scouts, etc. Therefore playing in the weather conditions of Natal, Fortaleza and Brasilia, should supersede giving away trade secrets to the USA. Unless you are worried about the US finding out key formation strategies.
Quality should rise to the top most of the time, and i believe Ghana has more quality players than USA. Our ambition, fitness and will must be unmatched by all competition.
IMO – The coach needs to select the quality players who are in form. Plain and simple.
AA is in a contract year with many people screaming no renewal until after the WC, if i was him I would only take players who can effectively execute my tactics. This unfortunately, means some of the lesser known players may be left at home due to lack of quality.
We need a mix of our talented young players to complement our stars who can no longer play a full 90.
This is the grand daddy of all stages, we need players who have been there and have experience against the competition (sorry Ghana league 1 players) because the stage will not be too big for them.

This is really bad idea to play Honduras in US soil;ounce the GFA knows we are going to meet these sneakers in our first crucial match in Brazil. How can Ghanaians be so dummy on this?.selling urself to your enemy to know your selected players and tactics?Reason out;GFA and all Ghanaians.Play this friendly in Honduras or any other neutral country.A word to the wise is enough.Never ever take the Americans for granted this time. This friendly match is ok;but to play it in US soil is TOTALLY WRONG.PERIOD

Aa is just stupid.he has no game plan and no formation

We have said time and again that it not wise to camp in the U.S.A,either the FA had already “sold” our first match to USA or they are being complacent.

  7. Benito says:

I still don’t don’t see the wisdom or the psychology in doing this, believe me the USA will watch every move we make, the FA is also risking the safety of the team.if they wouldn’t listen to us and still go ahead with the camping in the USA then they should be prepared to accept any blame if something happens.

FA will change venue soon. So don’t worry.
