Helsingborg coach Roar Hansen says his team need a collective effort to replace Ghana striker David Accam.

The 22-year-old is on international duty with the Black Stars and will miss a number of matches for the Swedish side.

The Right to Dream Academy product is keen to fight his way into the country’s final 23-man squad ahead of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

The Swedish side are now sweating without their talisman and coach Hansen has admitted they will need a collective effort to replace him.

“I cannot claim that any single person will replace him. It becomes a collective responsibility, says Roar Hansen after the preparatory training for Wednesday’s game against Atvidaberg.

“We have not had an option for David. That has not been a part of our plan, but it has become so.

“Now we are forced to find a game where everyone will be is involved.”

Accam has been an influential member of the Helsinborg side and will be solely missed during his time with his national team.

Can any coach say this about Jordan? Let’s see who stays; Accam or Jordan.

  2. Kwameduah says:

First of all, Accam is an attacking midfielder and Jordan is a striker. Both r on good form currently and will all make d final squad. And yes both his coach n assistant have said same abt him and his season is over.
