Defender Harrison Afful says he is ready for a potential battles against Cristiano Ronaldo when Ghana faces Portugal in the final group game at the 2014 World Cup on Thursday.

The Black Stars must win comprehensively to have any chance of advancing to the next stage of the competition in Brazil.

Ghana must however hope that Germany also does the business on Germany in the other Group G clash which will be played simultaneously in Manaus.

Afful is likely to start once more again for Ghana having impressed on his World Cup debut in the thrilling 2-2 draw with Germany.

The Esperance defender will be deployed at the right-back position, setting him up for a tantalizing clash against Cristiano Ronaldo who has so far struggled to glitter in the tournament do to his fitness issues.

“I am very prepared. Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the best in the world but on the field of play, there is no world no.1 or anything like that,” he said.

“I am there to do a particular work but I can't do it all alone, it is a [collective] team effort.

“But I am ready and if I play, I believe I will do well.”
