Christian Atsu has enjoyed a productive season at Vitesse Arnhem and admits he may be loaned out again by Chelsea in 2014/15.

The 22-year-old forward was taken from Porto to Stamford Bridge in September 2013, with Chelsea winning a keenly-contested chase for his signature.

Atsu was immediately allowed to head out on a short-term agreement, with Chelsea's links to Vitesse making them an obvious destination.

The Ghana international has impressed in Holland, netting seven times in 27 appearances and sweeping the board at Vitesse's end-of-season awards.

It could be that a role for him is found in England next season, with Chelsea having snapped him up after being impressed by his considerable potential.

He told Voetbal International: "It all depends on Chelsea. If they say that I have to stay in London, then why not?

"Here, I get the chance to develop myself. I have to play every week and at Vitesse we play an attacking system.

"Suppose I move to a bigger club and am placed on the bench or I move to a team that plays counter-attacking football, that would leave me feeling like I am going to the office and taking a nap on my desk.

"I haven't heard anything yet from Chelsea. That will probably happen after the end of the season, like it was at Porto.

"All players who have been loaned out by Chelsea will start pre-season in London. After a short period Chelsea will decide which players can be loaned out again to aid their development and which clubs they will join."
