Black Stars winger Christian Atsu is rallying his Ghana team-mates to focus their attention on Saturday’s pre-World Cup warm-up friendly against European giants Netherlands.

The West African giants get their 2014 World Cup training rolling with a first international friendly against Luis van Gaal’s Dutch side in Amsterdam on Saturday before enplaning to the United States to with a final 23-man squad to play South Korea in a final exhibition game before heading to Natal where the team will be based.

The profile Ghana’s Group G opponents is widely expected to dominate the entire Ghana squad while preparing for the group opener against the United States on June 16.

But winger Atsu insists the main focus is on impressing against the Netherlands on Saturday.

“The next game is against the Netherlands and we must give it the attention it deserves. It the next game for us not the games in Brazil yet,” he told local reporters.

The 22-year-old is well known in the Netherlands as he played on loan at Vitesse Arnhem from English giants Chelsea.

Atsu is very similar to messi in two ways, their dribbling and both are lefties and this is where the comparison ends! Whiles messi is a pure class dribbler who can take on two or three players at a time, atsu is purely a very SKILLFUL PLAYER who sometimes struggle to take two players at once! Atsu can be great only if he learns to do the right things at the right time! players such as messi keeps it strictly business and they cut the showboating when the game is barren whiles Atsu loves the SHOWBOATING even when his team is under pressure! I quite remember in the Egyptian match at baba yara stadium, he was on the field for just three mins and he started showboating drawing a fury yelling from AA! With the exception of Lesotho match where he was delightful to watch, all his matches has been very average and is about time he show us his real talent! He has to start releasing the balls quick, control his game with passes and cut on the showboating when the game is barren!! I have thr feeling he is going to be the REVELATION IN BRAZIL!
