Ghana striker Jordan Ayew insists he made the right choice to join French Ligue 1 strugglers Sochaux on loan in January.

The 22-year-old is enjoying regular playing time with the relegation-threatened side and scored three goals in 12 appearances.

Jordan claims a lot of people tried to discourage him joining the lowly placed team and he feels vindicated now with his fine form.

"Since my arrival, we waited for me to be more decisive. But I am always given me a lot because Sochaux gave me the opportunity to get playing time,” Jordan told lequipe.fr.

“I remember that when my loan in January, there are people who told me I was crazy to join Sochaux- a wrong team, I will have few opportunities, etc. I knew that I had made a good choice and I do not regret it.”

Sochaux coach Renard Herve will rely upon Ayew when they travel to Stade Reims on Sunday.

Les Lionceaux are third-bottom on the league table and five points away from safety.
