Ghana players initiated goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey as a new dad at their World Cup training camp in Miami by pouring water on him to welcome the birth of his first child.

Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan led the other players in congratulating the popular goalkeeper by pouring buckets of water and ice on him in the traditional Black Stars way congratulating for a special achievement.

The Norway-based shot-stopper was all drenched in water as Gyan and all the other players produced water from all angles to celebrate the birth of Kwarasey's son early in the morning in Norway.

The players nicknamed the boy 'World Cup baby' as they poured liquid on the new dad who heard the good news at dawn few hour before training.

Black Stars coach and Ghana FA boss Kwesi Nyantakyi all took time to congratulate Kwarasey to the delight of onlooking players of the national team with the World Cup looming.

The goalkeeper could not travel to Norway to witness the birth of his son as he is seriously preparing for the World Cup with the key aim of helping Ghana to excel at the World Cup.

Kwarasey will be making his World Cup debut in Brazil.
