Ghana midfielder Mubarak Wakaso returned to action on Sunday after recovering from a slight injury, boosting his chances of being fit for the 2014 World Cup.
The 22-year-old was in action for Russian side Rubin Kazan when they were defeated 2-1 by giants CSKA Moscow in their league match on Sunday.
Wakaso came on a substitute in the 75th minute of the match taking over from Torbinski but could not prevent his side from losing the match away from home.
His return is a boost for Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah as he eyes a squad of fit players for the World Cup in June.
Wakaso picked up the injury during Rubin Kazanââ¬â¢s 2-1 win over Spartak Moscow last week.
He was replaced at half-time having picked up the knock in the Russian top-flight matchà as a precautionary measure.
The ex Espanyol man is expected to make Ghanaââ¬â¢s squad for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
The Ghanaian was making his 11th league appearance of the season.
