Ghana’s World Cup-bound player Afriyie Acquah has once again spoken about his  frustrating six-month spell at German side TSG Hoffenhiem.

The 22-year-old joined the Bundesliga outfit during the 2013 January transfer window but did not kick a ball for then relegation threatened side.

But a summer loan move back to the Italian Serie A and Parma saw a swift improvement in his career.

Acquah went on to make 27 appearances and scored one goal-which happens to be his first as a professional player in Europe.

''It was very frustrating for me when I could not lock down playing time. I love to play; football is my passion,” Acquah told Fifa.com

“When I arrived in Germany, I had the opportunity of playing with the first team only days after my arrival. Soon I was named in the team for that weekend's game. That was very exciting for me but it was short lived because I never had the opportunity to play once in six months.

“It was difficult to take because I had not come all the way from the streets in Sunyani straight to Italy and then to Germany only to warm the bench."

Acquah is competing for a starting role at the 2014 World Cup finals in Brazil for a place in Kwesi Appiah set-up.
