Ghana goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey has welcomed the birth of his first child a few days to the start of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

The 26-year-old’s girlfriend, Malin, delivered a baby boy over the weekend much to the delight of the father who is currently away with the Black Stars in Miami preparing for this month’s world showpiece.

An elated Kwarasey who couldn’t hide his joy at the birth of his child took to social media and posted on: “Welcome son. Can’t wait to hold you.”

The Stromsgodset shot-stopper is tipped to be Ghana’s first choice goalkeeper at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil as a reward for his fine form with his club.
