Ghana defender John Boye will  leave French side Stade Rennes at the end of the season, GHANAsoccernet.com can reveal.

The 27-year-old has spent three years at the club and has confirmed he will not stay with the club further when his current deal expires next month.

The Ghanaian international bid farewell to the Stade Rennes fans on Saturday as they lost 2-1 at home to Sochaux.

The strong centre-back has not revealed his next destination but it's widely believed that the World Cup will present him with the opportunity to sell himself at the global stage.

Boye has been an integral part of the Stade Rennes side where he has become an important piece to the side this term.

But they failed to qualify to Europe as they are placed 13th on the table with a game to spare to end the season.
