Renowned Serbian therapist Mariana Kovacevic will be part of Ghanaââ¬â¢s backroom staff for the 2014 World Cup, Ghana FA boss Kwesi Nyantakyi has confirmed.
Kovacevic, who is noted for her famous horse-placenta treatment, will return to the Black Stars team to augment the efforts of the medical team as a supporting staff for Juneââ¬â¢s World Cup in Brazil.
The Serbian therapist first worked with Ghana at the 2010 World Cup on the recommendation of then coach Milovan Rajevac.
Her ââ¬Ëmagicalââ¬â¢ treatment during the tournament in South Africa was able to return players to optimum fitness ahead of estimated schedule.
She was again contracted by the Ghana FA to work with the Black Stars team two years later at the Nations Cup in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea where she worked under compatriot Goran Stevanovic.
Kovacevic will again be employed by the Ghana FA for the upcoming World Cup in Brazil following requests made by the players for her expert services.

Kovacevic has just returned from an international assignment where she was responsible for raising the fitness level of Manchester United star Wayne Rooney in order to start their Champions League game at Bayern Munich.
The England international who was originally ruled out of last Wednesdayââ¬â¢s clash in Munich recovered in time to start the game after intense sessions with the renowned Serbian ââ¬Ëmagic healerââ¬â¢.
Several big name players like Robin Van Persie, Vincent Kompany, Frank Lampard have all profited from the services of Mariana Kovacevic.
