2014 World Cup: Ghana coach will not discriminate against any player in squad selection
Kwesi Appiah says he will be fair to all players in the selection of his players for the World Cup

Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah says he will not discriminate against any players when he selects his squad for the World Cup insisting every player will be considered before the final selection is made.

Several fringe players have called on the Black Stars coach to give them the chance to impress at the tournament in Brazil in June.

Some other players like Derek Boateng and Anthony Annan have been affected by the lack of playing time with their clubs in Europe which has also sparked some concerns for them.

The Ghana coach says players will be call to the Black Stars squad for the World Cup on merit thus performances with their club sides will be paramount.

“No Ghanaian player would be discriminated against in terms of selection to the Black Stars,” the Ghana coach was reported to have said.

Appiah will face a tough task at the World Cup as the Black Stars will play USA, Germany and Portugal in the Group of Death.
