Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah insists his provisional selection for the 2014 World Cup has been well informed by extensive monitoring of players.

The Black Stars trainer named a provisional 26-man squad for June’s tournament in Brazil on Monday.

The squad had major casualties including the experienced trio of John Mensah, Isaac Vorsah and Anthony Annan who have struggled for regular playing time at their respective clubs due to injuries.

Jeffry Schlupp, David Accam and Afriyie Acquah were however the major beneficiaries of the provisional squad as a reward for their impressive displays at club level.

Coach Kwesi Appiah in defending his squad on Monday, says he had collected enough information on his players to arrive at his provisional selection.

“I have always said that if you have a team and you are a Ghanaian then we will monitor you,” Appiah said.

“We have a chat we use to monitor players every weekend so we look at every Ghanaian player who is playing at his club.”

Are you sure you monitored the players every weekend? If what you are saying is true then Dauda, Inkoom and even Essien are all not supposed to be in the team. Stop lying AA .

Those players are tested and tried. I am sure if by the time we complete our preparation those players are not able to proof themselves in all the international friendlies it means they cannot also do it in the world stage and therefore must be dropped without fear or favour and I am referring to Essien, Nkoom and Wakaso because their form this season has not been that impressive. As for Dauda he is the third choice and I am sure he might end up not being in BS post till the end of the tournament, so I am not worried.

I’m much particular about the defenders bcos looking @ the list, there is no experience defenders among them and tournaments like this experience count the more as they will be meeting experience n bst strikers in the world who can neva be stopped without using experience. So me i think the shud have included players like Vorsa,J.Mensah and J.Pintil or beta still any 2 of them, give them isolated training well monitered n try them in frndly matches which will help reshape them”na adiaa atete koraaa y3 tumi fa y3 no yie” or you now drop them if they don’t pick frm there n stop saying they luck playing time whilst futbal is all abt stamina, confidence n experience. This defence de3 it will cost us o.The squad shud have been released earlier to listen to people’s views b4 submission b@ now it is too late.

Good, coach be firm and never compromise the form and fitness of this squad, throw out any player who doesn’t adhere to camp rules and serious with training and the friendlies prior to the tournament
We could care less who they are,our eyes are very red and we mean business,we have an unfinished business.nice jacket !!

Akwesi Appiah, you might not remember me, but I know you very much. When you were at youe peak in Kotoko, there was a player in our neighborhood who was not player professional and they were better than you. Do you remember atta beyie Okess, he never played for a team. There was another guy call Kwabena Adyei far brilliant in defense that Rockson, but he never played any professional soccer.

I guess in Ghana there better players in the neighborhoods who no one knows. All I am saying is teams vary and many circumstances occur in a team. For Instance kokofu ball. It was happening to Altidore in sunderland. Many a times kokofu soccer is intensional coming from jealousies. I am talking as someone who understand soccer and have a great sense in soccer. In all your above policy is not exactly correct so flex it up..
