Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah admits USA will be difficult to crack but confident his charges can rise up to the occasion at the 2014 World Cup finals in Brazil.
The Africans will open their group G campaign against the Americans before meeting Germany and Portugal.
The Black Stars will go into the encounter brimmed with saturated confidence after beating their opponent in the last two editions of the tournament in Germany and South Africa in 2006 and 2010 respectively.
Appiah watched his side demolish South Korea 4-0 in their last pre-World Cup warm-up game in Miami on Monday and remains bullish about their chances.
“The United States are a very, very good team,” Appiah said.
“”It’s not going to be easy. We have to make sure our players are playing their roles well.
“We hope to give them a very good game.”
