Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan set a new record as Africa’s all-time scorer in the World Cup by scoring his sixth goal in their 2-1 defeat to Portugal.

The Al Ain striker equalled Roger Milla’s record of five goals last Saturday after finding the back of the net in the 2-2 draw with

Gyan registered his second goal of the 2014 World Cup and that complimented the three scored at the 2010 finals in South Africa.

The Al Ain striker also was on target on their debut tournament in Germany 2006.

Dauda, Dauda, Dauda, Dauda, Dauda, Dauda, Dauda, Dauda, Dauda, Dauda, Dauda…….wasa papapapapapa…….akoa yi asa o —-yet, akwasi says “he is number one”! Yeah….we are witnesses …ladies and gentlemen!

    Enough said!

Akwasi Appiah shouldn’t even get home before they give him his sack letter! The most abysmal and shambolic performance by Ghana ever….since 2006! And it was spearheaded by a “local”, “home bred”, useless and clueless coach!

Twiaaaa……that’s what u get from Africa —-so talented yet not enough brains to go with the talent or manage the talent! Akwasi Appiah has no tactical brains —and the players are not happy about him —and if the foolish GFA cannot see, then everyone of them must go!

PUNKS! Akwasi Appiah must go! Technical team overhauled! When a coach is tactically n technically bankrupt, players don’t respect him!

    • Rasheed says:

Sorry Maka, Appiah is not going any where, he will stay and coach black stars. When some of us foresaw the incompetence of Appiah and were begging for a technical director for him, some Ghanaians wanted to suck my blood out of my body.

    • perl says:

well said. you earn respect. you dont beg for respect like Akwasi is doing.if you lack the basic ideas of the game, u dont coach people who play and knows it better.

akwasi is simply konko. i mean empty milk konko

Great tournament for Gyan BUT a very BAD one for Ghana.

  3. INSTRUCTOR says:

Ghana should learn to score more goals when playing big teams not just good in defense!

  4. millennium says:

Shame of you who were fighting for Dauda to be in the post

  5. millennium says:

All the balls he saved were directly at him; he was too amatured

  6. Milky says:

The other day it was Jordan, today it was Gyan who was selfish! All that he was interested in was setting records.
He could have passed the ball to Jordan on one of the break aways but he didn’t. I guess he was paying Jordan back for he did to him last week.

I have always supported Akwasi Appiah and Nyantakyi, but I now agree that they must go. He could have brought Opare in at left back and released Kwadwo to join Andre, Atsu, Prince and Gyan upfront. Afriyie Acquah is a far better player than Rabiu. AA seems to have some favorite players he loves to play all the time; Rabiu, Dauda, and Adomah at the expense of much better players. Why he refused to start or play Kwarassey, Prince and Essien is beyond me. AA and Nyantakyi should be fired at once.

Its all over now and this is what we can get if you put Blackman to manage affairs. The 2006 and 2010 world cup managed my white man was the best we can imagine. Coach Appiah have let himself and Ghanaians down. Appiah has no leadership skills, he is not charismatic and above all have no tactical knowledge as a coach. The senior players have no respect for him because of his lack of knowledge in the game. The players are increasingly frustrated with him for his poor tactics. KPB was made the scape-goat when he challenged his tactics during training. KPB is not a striker or cannot play effectivey behind a striker, and he made this known to Appiah. At the 2010 world cup KPB was used in the midfield holding role to control the game and he did that effectively. Even when he was in AC Milan, he did well with this role. Why is Appiah adamant to use him in this role? The other issue is Appiah’s insistence to use to KASA at the left back. The players and KASA himself demanded that he should be moved to a more attacking role but Appiah refused. Essien on the bench too is another issue. So there is unrest of the players because they felt Appiah is not up to the job.

Gyan is the first African to BREAK INTO FIFA ALL TIME GOAL SCORER TABLE! Wow! Amazing stuff for this multi-talented kid and he was such a marvelous to watch in Brazil!

The minimum number of goals one has to score to break into the all time great scorers is 6 and gyan is the first African to do so and he shares this spot with great legends as henry, bebeto etc!

Regardless of what happens, gyan is a WC legend and is simply amazing how the world is praising the wonderful talent of this kid!

Gyan has won a lot of hearts with his performances in Brazil and he is arguably the GREATEST GHANAIAN PLAYER of this era!

What a talent and finally, gyan has earn his respect from the football fraternity!

Even though Ghana didn’t qualify to the knockout stages, gyan ll still make the FIFA team after the WC! This guy is simply INCREDIBLE!

What is the essence of a record and not being able to qualify the team to the next round…..well thats your own opinion…..Senior Prophet TB Joshua advised Ghana to go to the world cup with Richard Kingston that they will succeed but the fetish GFA felt they could rely more on the pronouncement of Kweku Bonsam…….now see………I personally know we do not have a team…..it was we the fans that was over-hyping these players, out of the whole squad…..I can single out only Dede Ayew as the BS strength because he never lied with his age…..the rest are old men parading themselves as in their late twenties……Kwasia team and coach

  14. Rego says:

I wander why Essien was left on the bench when his experience was needed to stablise the midfield and give through passes for gyan and waris to score. Why will one play a short goalkeeper when there is a tall and better one? All the crucial goals against us came from crosses that could not be dealt with by the defends and l think the Germany equalizer could have been prevented if it was A L k,si in post likewise today’s second goal. K Appiah’s subs are mostly not right and l think he should learn to select players base on their abilities and not on any other basis. We need back four to compete with what we have now. K PB matter should be investigated as he has denied verbally insulted the head coach. Gyan has paid his dues so much this time round and l wonder what critics will say this time. Better luck next time.

  15. Rasheed says:

Wrong Asamoah Gyan has scored 5 goals.2006 he scored 1 against Czec 2010 he scored 2, and 2.

  16. oloye says:

Gyan scored 3 in 2010.2 pk and a volley against USA

  17. selfmade says:

Gyan scored against Czech, scored against Serbia, scored Australia, scored against USA, scored against Germany and scored against Portugal! So add all together and he has scored 6 times!!

    U had it wrong mister!

  18. Sami says:

What’s wrong with ghana? What is wrong with gfa? Who The hell is Rabiu? Never Heard about him.why The hell did he Not bring essien? Are you f****** kidding me? Look at Germany , they brought Klose and he scored the 2:2. He is old and had lack practice!what a shame! Ghana is getting worse! No local trainer! Please! We need white man to survive!

  19. maubs says:

yes sami but first we need an enquiry about all the money, player wahala, the role of management commitee, etc and all connected to bs2014. i nominate jj rawlings, asantehene or anthony baffoe to be members of this commitee. lets show the world we love football, we are going to be back better and that we are not a rogue republic of bush people

  20. maubs says:

god bless baby jet our son, friend and brother a gyan. once badly castigated yet he proves himself the real deal for us. may you win more laurels in the years ahead. we love you. a gyan.
