France-based striker Jordan Ayew announced his intention of taking the world by storm as he headlined Ghana’s 4-0 final World Cup warm up win over South Korea in Miami on Monday night with a hat-trick.

But the Black Stars were left to sweating on the fitness of striker Abdul Majeed Waris who picked up a thigh injury early on in the match before Ayew replaced him to produce his magical display.

Head coach Kwesi Appiah fielded his strongest starting line-up with striker Asamoah Gyan (scorer of second goal), Kevin-Prince Boateng, Andre Ayew, Sulley Muntari and Kwadwo Asamoah.

There was little to talk about in the first five minutes until Waris somersaulted over a tackle close to the centre line and injured his left thigh.

The injury looked quiet serious and led into the dressing room by two members of the Ghana’s medical team after his substitution.

His position was taken over by Marseille striker Jordan Ayew needed five minutes on the pitch to open the scoring at the Sun Life Stadium.

Gyan began racing down the left before teeing up Andre who burrowed into the box before pulling a low grounder to the right.

The ball found his younger brother Jordan whose shot deflected a Korean defender for first goal.

South Korea were gingered by the goal and bounced back to dominate play with their passing game and crosses.

The Taegeuk Warriors scored a goal on 40 minutes but that was disallowed after the Canadian referee whistled for a foul on goalkeeper Fatau Dauda.

Four minutes later, captain Gyan profited from a defensive blunder by the last man of South Korea and he raced with the ball before placing it firmly on the ground for the doubler.

Ghana went into the break with a two-goal lead although they had less of territorial dominance.

The second stanza followed a similar pattern as the Black Stars soaked the pressure and hit Korea on the break.

After seven minutes, Ghana mounted another move and ball was threaded to Jordan who shot beautifully into the net for his personal second and the third for his country.

It was all about Korea but the Asians lacked the cutting edge and could not rally back into the game.

Just before the final whistle, Ghana turned on the engine and a nice combination play from right back Harrison Afful and winger Albert Adomah led to the fourth goal, which was a perfect connection by Jordan-, a hat-trick hero.

Adomah whipped in a cross from the right and the Marseille forward turned it in with panache.

Ghana will head to their base camp in Maceio on Tuesday and prepare for their Group G opener against USA on 16 June in Natal.

Ghana line-up: Fatau Dauda-Jonathan Mensah, John Boye, Harrison Afful, Kwadwo Asamoah-Mohammed Rabiu/Emmanuel Agyemang Badu, Sulley Muntari/ Afriyie Acquah, Kevin-Prince Boateng/Christian Atsu, Andre Ayew/Albert Adomah- Majeed Waris/Jordan Ayew, Asamoah Gyan/Mubarak Wakaso.
