Ex-Ghana CK Akunnor says he expects more from Jordan Ayew after the young striker bagged his first international hat trick in the 4-0 thrashing of South Korea in a pre-World Cup friendly.
Ayew came on for injured Majeed Waris on the 6th minute and put in an impressive to justify why he made the final 23-man roster for the tournament.
The 22-year-old, who spent the second half of last season on loan at relegated Sochaux from Olympique Marseille, has made a strong case to start in Ghanaââ¬â¢s Group G opener against USA next Monday.
Akunnor believes the son of Ghana legend Abedi Pele has the credentials to make a huge impact in Brazil.
ââ¬ÅI am not surprised at all what Jordan has done against the South Korean,â⬠Akunnor told GHANASoccernet.com
ââ¬ÅHis talent is very clear and I think it is just beginning to show, he has played very well in the last two games that I have seen him play for the Black Stars and it is just beginning to pay.
ââ¬ÅHe will give us more in time, he will only get better so letââ¬â¢s all keep our fingers crossed.ââ¬
