Defender Daniel Opare is the latest to join the Black Stars’ early preparations for the 2014 World Cup in Accra.

The full back is the last to arrive and took part in Thursday evening’s training session at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Coach Kwesi Appiah is now operating a full house with the exception of Kevin-Prince Boateng and Michael Essien who have been granted permission to stay away from the early preparations in Accra.

Isaac Vorsah visited the team before training commenced on Thursday.

The defender is not part of the provisional squad due to doubts over his fitness.

Skipper Asamoah Gyan led his team through physical drills in Thursday’s session which was witnessed by an impressive crowd at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The team later worked on possession drills after which they played a half-pack game.

The team then finished off the session with shooting drills with striker Jordan Ayew getting the loudest cheer by scoring all of his kicks.

The Black Stars and members of the Ghana FA will be hosted to a dinner by President John Mahama at the State Banquet Hall.

They will then play a farewell match against a locally select side on Friday and will depart for their training camp in the Netherlands the day after.
