On-loan Chelsea winger Christian Atsu has expressed satisfaction with his performance on his debut season at Vitesse Arnhem.

The 22 year old has made a strong case for his return to Stamford Bridge after netting five times in 25 appearances for Vitesse this season.

The former FC Porto player was voted the club’s fans player of the year with his enchanting displays.

“It’s a unique feeling to feel loved by a club you represent,” Atsu told Voetbal International.

“I am still on a learning curve in my career and I am very satisfied with how this season has turned out to be.

“Injury wise I have been free and the tempo at which I am operated has been to my advantage.

“I want to continue doing my best and see how far I can go.”

Chelsea beat off competition from fellow Premier League rivals rivals Tottenham, Liverpool and Everton.

Atsu was a regular for Ghana throughout the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifiers and will be on board to Brazil.
