2014 World Cup: Black Stars complete second training session without Daniel Opare

The Black Stars trained for the second time on Wednesday without defender Daniel Opare.

 

The 23-year-old has been excused to complete his move to Portuguese giants FC Porto, as exclusively revealed by Ghana's leading portal.

Coach Kwesi Appiah supervised this morning’s training session at the Accra sports stadium with 23 players in attendance.

Leicester City left-back Jeffry Schlupp trained under the Ghanaian trainer for the first time after being handed a surprise call-up into the team.

Goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey, Asamoah Gyan, Andre Ayew, Jordan Ayew, John Boye,Suley Muntari all had a run out in what was an improvement of Tuesday’s training session.

The Black Stars will continue with their preparations at the same venue on Thursday before they engage a locally-select side in a friendly exercise on Friday.

The team will then fly out to Holland on Saturday ahead of a high-profile friendly against the Netherlands on May 31.
