Berekum Chelsea chief Oduro Sarfo has doubts about the potential inclusion of any home-based player to make the final 2014 World Cup squad.

The race for places in Kwesi Appiah’s final 23-man squad has become a matter of intense discussion in the West African country.

There have been massive campaigns to have Kotoko duo Abeik Ainooson and Kwabena Edusei,  Hearts strong centre-back Nuru Sulley as well as Aduana Stars goalkeeper Stephen Adams drafted into the team ahead of the global piece in Brazil.

There are many local fans who believe the quartet have done their best to merit a place in a star-studded squad after excelling heavily for the Local Black Stars at the CHAN tournament in South Africa early this year.

But Berekum Chelses General Manager Oduro Sarfo has his doubts about their possible inclusion in the team.

“We have fantastic boys who are very good in this country but I have my doubt if any of them can conjure magic at the World Cup,” he is quoted by sportscrusaderonline.com

“Most of them can make the 2015 African Cup of Nations in Morocco but for the World Cup I have my doubts."

The African will play ‘old friends’ USA and Germany as well as Portugal in group G.
