Ghana international Christian Atsu has warned his international team-mates not to become fixated on Cristiano Ronaldo when they lock horns with Portugal at this summer's World Cup.

Atsu's Ghana have been drawn in Group G at the World Cup, alongside Portugal, Germany and the United States.

Much of the focus may well be on FIFA Ballon d'Or winner Ronaldo, but Atsu, who is on loan at Dutch side Vitesse from Chelsea, has reminded his team-mates of the skills of midfielder Joao Moutinho.

Atsu played alongside Moutinho at FC Porto last season and is well aware of the Monaco man's talents.

"It is true that Ronaldo is the most important player on the team by virtue of the fact that he scores the most goals", Atsu told Radio XYZ.

"But we must not forget where these passes came from", he added.

"They have a very clever midfield, with my former colleague Joao Moutinho, who played at FC Porto."

Atsu has won 16 caps for Ghana at international level, scoring three goals in the process.
