Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan has urged his international team-mates to  use the World Cup to put themselves in the shop window.

The Ghana captain earned a £13m switch to Sunderland on the back of his country's exploits in 2010 when they reached the quarter-finals.

The Black Stars are back in the midst at the world stage again after qualifying to their third successive World Cup.

The Al Ain ace has urged his teammates to seize the opportunity the global showpiece presents to make a name for themselves and earn mega moves to stellar clubs.

"We have a crop of talented players who are determined to make a name for themselves." Gyan said.

The Africans are in a 'Group of Death'with Germany, Portugal and USA.
