Sulley Muntari

AC Milan have announced that Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari will undergo further tests in the coming days to know the extent of his calf injury.

Muntari picked up the injury during AC Milan’s 3-0 win over Chievo Verona on Saturday

He was replaced by compatriot and best pal Michael Essien a minute to half-time.

A statement on the club’s website read: “A.C. Milan wishes to communicate that Sulley Muntari has suffered a problem with his right calf and will undergo further tests in the coming days.”

Muntari’s injury did not appear serious but the latest  communication suggest it might be complicated.

The 29-year-old has made 21 appearances for Milan in the Italian top-flight this season.
